6.  From Route 80, Traveling East (NOTE: From LOCAL 80 ONLY. You can not exit from Express 80) Take the I-95 N exit- EXIT 68B on the LEFT toward G WASHINGTON BR / NEW YORK.  Take EXIT 70A-B toward LEONIA / TEANECK. Merge onto E DEGRAW AVE  via EXIT 70B toward TEANECK. Turn RIGHT onto TEANECK RD and follow for about 0.8 miles.  Turn left onto Cedar Lane.  Go uphill on Cedar Lane approximately 1 mile (more or less).   Cross a small bridge and continue about 1 block.  Turn left onto American Legion Drive, continue 2.5 blocks.  Pass the Super Stop & Shop to the end of the parking lot.  The American Legion is across the street (A.L.Dr.) from the Stop & Shop lot.  Park in the American Legion lot or the street.   NOTE: There is no overnight parking in the Super Stop & Shop lot; all cars must vacate the lot at 11pm to avoid ticket.

From Mid-Town Manhattan Port Authority: The most direct route to the American Legion is the NJ Transit Bus #168 at Gate 212.  Ask for the stop on Cedar Lane at Garrison (if the driver doesn't know the street name, it's at "Veggie Heaven" in the middle of the shopping area on Cedar).  Walk 1 block on Cedar and turn onto American Legion Drive (there's only one way to turn), walk 2 1/2 blocks on Am. Legion Dr. passed the Super Stop & Shop parking lot, across the street (A.L.Dr.) is the American Legion/VFW Hall.  Alternatively, (or if you're going to a host first) you can take Bus #167 from gate 210.  The 167 has 2 routes: 167Q goes to Queen Anne Rd ( stop at Cedar, and then walk uphill on Cedar to American Legion Drive).  167T goes to Teaneck Rd (stop at Cedar, involves a longer walk uphill on Cedar to American Legion Drive).

From the George Washington Bridge Port Authority at 179^th Street and Broadway (Washington Heights):  There are 2 bus options, take whichever is leaving at the time.  This is somewhat more frequent, but involves more walking (it's all safe areas).

 A.  New Jersey Transit:  Take the NJT Bus #178 ("toward Hackensack") (departing 20 minutes after each hour) or NJT Bus #171 ("toward Patterson") (departing every 30 minutes, 15 and 45 minutes after the hour) to Route 4 and get off at Bell Avenue exit.

OR:

B. Spanish Bus Shuttle:  Take the so-called “Spanish Bus” Shuttle "to Route 4" and get off at Belle Avenue exit.

With both A & B: The bus will actually leave you on Route 4 itself near Belle Ave. Walk north on Belle Ave. (past Police Athletic League Building), turn left onto Billington, turn left onto Sussex/Garrison (Sussex becomes Garrison).  Walk south on Garrison (over bridge over highway)  to end.  Turn left onto Cedar Lane (commerical district).  Turn right onto American Legion Drive. Continue 2.5 blocks. Pass the Super Stop & Shop parking lot. The American Legion/VFW Hall is a small building opposite the Stop & Shop parking lot (on A.L.Dr.).

From Mid-Town Manhattan Port Authority: This is the best bus option, but it's very infrequent.  Take NJ Transit Bus #167 from gate 210.  The 167 has 2 routes: One takes a route "to Queen Anne Rd."  Ask for the Sherman stop (one fo the first few stops once you're on Queen Anne), and then walk 1 more block in the same forward direction and turn right onto Johnson Avenue.  (If you've gone to Cedar, you've gone 4 blocks too far.)  The house is half way down a hill, after Mildred, a white house with a red door.  The other route is the "Teaneck Rd. route" (NOT the Teaneck X route to the "Armory").  When taking this route, ask for the stop at "The School."  This is exactly at the intersection of Teaneck Rd and Johnson Ave.  Go up Johnson 1.5 blocks, pass Albin St.  The house is on the right, a white house with a red door.
